Trentino DNA
Altemasi’s roots lie in the highest hills of Trentino, between 450 and 600 meters above sea level. It is in these hills that Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, sourced from the most suitable vineyards, ripen.
The grapes experience significant temperature fluctuations, which:
- enhance aromatic complexity
- maintain crucial acidity during maturation, allowing for extended lees aging
All of this contributes to the creation of a collection of sparkling wines with a unique style, characterized by structure, richness, pleasantness, balance, and elegance.
Paolo Turra: The Trentino Imprint of Altemasi
Paolo Turra, a seasoned winemaker and son of the winemaking family, is responsible for the Trentino imprint of Altemasi. Turra tirelessly strives to achieve the perfect balance in these sparkling wines. He skillfully harmonizes the fruity and floral aromas of the grapes with the spicy notes derived from fermentation, partly occurring in wood and partly from extended aging on lees.
Altemasi Trentodoc Blanc de Noirs 2018
Altemasi Trentodoc Blanc de Noirs is a Metodo Classico sparkling wine crafted from selected cuvées of Pinot Noir, bringing forth the aromatic characteristics of mountain viticulture.
The grapes are cultivated at altitudes between 450 and 600 meters. The vineyards are situated on steep slopes, with soils composed of gravelly fluvio-glacial deposits from the Cembra Valley and alluvial cones from the Trento hills. In these areas, significant temperature variations between day and night help maintain a crucial acidity level in the grapes.
Organoleptic Characteristics
Altemasi Trentodoc Blanc de Noirs features a fine and persistent perlage, a straw-yellow color with greenish reflections.
On the nose, you’ll find a delicate, elegant, and complex aroma with fruity notes of peach and red currant, along with delicate hints of hazelnut and pastry. In the mouth, this sparkling wine has great substance and balance.
It pairs perfectly with various dishes, such as smoked trout, shellfish, white island-style fish, as well as veal and lamb preparations.
Altemasi Trentodoc Rosé Riserva 2017

In the glass, it reveals a captivating rosé color with subtle coppery reflections, accompanied by a creamy white foam and fine, persistent perlage.
With a complex aroma, this Trentodoc wine delights the nose with hints of ripe cherry blended with spicy notes reminiscent of ginger and cinnamon. On the palate, Altemasi Rosé Riserva is full-bodied, enveloping, well-balanced, and exhibits remarkable persistence.
