Fantini Winery

Located in Roseto degli Abruzzi, the Fantini Winery is situated in the midst of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG.

The vineyards cascade from the hills to the sea, seeking the perfect sun exposure, benefiting from excellent temperature fluctuations.

The vineyard practices environmentally friendly production methods, recognizing that the fruits of this land not only grow well but also age beautifully.

The Territory

The cool winds from the Apennines and the Adriatic sea breezes create a unique and exceptional microclimate.

The predominantly Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and snowy winters, complements the mixed composition of the soil:

  • Hilly and mountainous areas: marly-clayey soils rich in sand and limestone
  • Coastal plains: gravel and alluvial deposits

Cinque Autoctoni Edition 21

Crafted from the finest Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Malvasia Nera grapes, this exceptional wine showcases the distinctiveness of the region.

Vineyards

The vineyards are located in the municipalities of Colonnella, Ortona, Sava, and San Marzano.

Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes come from the Abruzzo hills at 300 meters above sea level, while Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes are sourced from the southern Puglia region.

Winemaking

The grapes are crushed and destemmed before a 25-day maceration and fermentation process.

Malolactic fermentation occurs in new oak barrels, 60% American and predominantly French.
