xtraWine and Tenuta di Monterufoli present an xtraWine exclusive for all organic wine lovers:
Pian di Seta Vermentino di Toscana IGT Bio 2021
xtraWine exclusives have returned. After Casa Sartori 1898’s Amarone della Valpolicella and Lamole di Lamole Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Grospoli, this new exclusive takes us to the worl of organic wines with a Vermentino from Tenuta di Monterufoli.
We are pleased and honoured to be Europe’s only online wine shop selling Pian di Seta Vermentino di Toscana IGT Bio 2021.
Tenuta di Monterufoli appears to be straight out of a fairytale. Located between Val di Cecina and Val di Cornia (Pisa), the estate is surrounded by over 1,000 he of unspoiled nature.
Tenuta di Monterufoli looks to the future in this bucolic corner of the world, and has invested in becoming a fully organic company since 2018. A lengthy process culminated in the award of European Biological Winery Certification in 2020.
Pian di Seta Vermentino di Toscana IGT Bio 2021 represents this significant transformation, which has required effort, determination, and ambition. Most importantly, such an endeavour demanded open-mindedness and foresight.
And we are happy and grateful to be a part of this open-mindedness and foresight.
From July 12th to September 12th, we will be Europe’s only wine shop selling this fresh wine.
With this, Vermentino xtraWine looks to the future, putting sustainability at the heart of everything we do. Organic wine is all about the philosophy and process of growing the vines, caring for the vineyards, and processing the wine with little to no pesticides, as the expert reader is already aware. And with this Vermentino, environmental stewardship begins with the vines, which are tended according to the seasons.
The role of the winemaker is that of a land guardian. More than ever, our relationship with the land is based on mutual respect. Such regard can be seen in the numerous steps taken to make Pian di Seta Vermentino di Toscana IGT Bio 2021.
The harvest occurs in September. The grapes are handpicked and macerated using the pellicular maceration technique, which involves immersing the grapes in their own juice to extract properties such as colour, tannins, and aromas. This step is carried out without the use of oxygen. The obtained must is subjected to a cold static decantation, one of the most efficient and qualitative methods of settling, which consists in allowing the largest particles to settle at the bottom of the tank.
At 15 degrees Celsius, the alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Following that, the wine is left in the tank for up to three months.
This xtraWine exclusive is a must try and an invite to all organic wine lovers to try make the most of this exclusive and enjoy this wine now, only on xtraWine.
