Cavit, short for Cantina Viticoltori del Trentino, is situated in the heart of Trentino, in Ravina di Trento. It’s a cooperative that brings together 11 Trentino social wineries, representing over 60% of Trentino’s vineyard area with more than 5,250 associated winegrowers.
The company receives, examines, and selects raw materials produced by its associated wineries. Moreover, it oversees every stage of production, from harvesting to marketing.

Altemasi is a prestigious line of Metodo Classico sparkling wines with Trento DOC designation, expressing all the sparkling excellence of Cavit. Altemasi has its roots in the highest hills of Trentino, between 450 and 600 meters above sea level.Here, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the most suitable vineyards mature.
The grapes undergo significant temperature fluctuations, which:
- promote aromatic deposition
- maintain important acidity during maturation, allowing the wine to undergo long periods of refinement on the lees
All this allows for the creation of a collection of sparkling wines with a unique style, characterized by great structure and richness, pleasantness, balance, and elegance.
