Part of a sommelier\u2019s studies involves learning how to properly serve wine. For Italian red wines, that means understanding how to properly decant all sorts of different vintages. But when it comes to Champagne, the sommelier needs to know exactly how to open the bottle perfectly when presenting it to a customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That takes practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And every practice bottle requires an investment from the sommelier. Ask questions about the wine they choose and you give them a chance to refresh their memories about the wine before gifting it to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
