But there\u2019s a question that you need to answer before you can make that vision a reality\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Italian wine should you choose for your perfect summer moment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a previous post, we highlighted a few of the wines<\/a> that we offer right now that are perfect for the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But maybe you don\u2019t want to follow that advice. Perhaps you\u2019re more adventurous and want to choose your own Italian wine for the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If that\u2019s the case, we have a few tips that will help you to make the right choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip #1 \u2013 Look for Nice Acidity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are few things that we enjoy more than curling up with a nice glass of red wine by the fire. But that\u2019s not what you\u2019re looking for during the summer. You don\u2019t want a wine that\u2019s going to warm you up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You want something that will refresh you and leave you feel more awake than you were before!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why it\u2019s so important to look at the wine\u2019s acidity before you buy. Higher acidity generally means a sharper flavour, which is just what you need to shake those summer cobwebs after a long day at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generally speaking, you\u2019ll find that Italian white wines offer the level of acidity that you\u2019re looking for. That doesn\u2019t mean you should ignore ros\u00e9s and red wines though. It just means you need to be a touch more selective with your choices as not all will have the acidity level that makes them ideal for summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imagine that it\u2019s not only hot but also humid outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you want a deep and bold wine that feels like it\u2019s heavier than the humidity that you\u2019re already battling? Or, do you want something light and breezy that cuts through the summer haze and leaves you feeling refreshed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a no-brainer question but it\u2019s one that you need to ask. After all, there\u2019s nothing better than enjoying an ice-cold beverage in the summer sun, whether it\u2019s wine or something else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\u2026can you chill the Italian wine<\/a> that you\u2019re thinking of buying?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you can\u2019t, that means you\u2019re going to drink a wine at room temperature in conditions where that isn\u2019t ideal for what you\u2019re looking for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a simple rule of thumb, if you can serve it on ice than it\u2019s a decent wine for the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
